Eros

The pleasure of feeding
On looks and glimpses
To appreciate the bouquet for years and years
Letting it grow on me as it should
Thoughts of piloting your swells

Uncharted territory licked by radiant sunlight
Wet, musty paths for walking, lingering
My weakness for weakness
My weakness your strength
I devour these places I’ve never seen

I will not fill you with promises, hardly
Hardly
Only with what I have
And you can show me what you know, want
Need

Explore with me
The land we share
While the trees shudder from the passing breeze
And the sea overruns and subsides
Our breath caresses together the words
That need not be said aloud.
