The <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Mellotron\">Mellotron<\/a> was a very high tech keyboard of its time, using magnetic tape strips that were engaged when you pressed the keys. Samples of various instruments and the mechanical anomalies of its design created a very recognizable sound, especially the choir sound.
