Road people, the extended family, are spread out all over the world and often don&#8217;t talk to one another for years. This new experience of first not seeing them online, not crossing their path in the random job\/airport and then hearing about it after is becoming more frequent.<\/p>\n<p>Last night I got a call from Pat McLendon who let me know that his brother Mike had passed away. I had toured with both brothers (at the same time!) in the late 90&#8217;s and worked for Mike&#8217;s production company, Texas Events. He seemed to be one of the few guys who made the transition from road to home gladly and successfully.
