2/3/93- Me and Him

                 Me and Him

 Before
I never thought I had it in common
 With the true word sculptors
Those who make it sound easy
How it washes over the page and heart
Visions that are at once unique and thematic
To see the subject in another
To read further is to discover
Faces in coconuts, ship whistles in water pipes
Floral texture and odor adorn the margin
Coincidental metaphors waiting at the beach
How nice not to feel alone
Writers often find their elements waiting outside
 To be discovered.
