         To open a large book
         Large themes,large ideas
         To pull back a clean,crisp page of paper
                cut
         Under short,dirty nails
         The digit's wound like the thousand
         Tiny bothersome slits on my heart
         No blood
         Just toe curling,head lilting feelings
         From ideas from a large book.
 
         Symbols riding,rolling,crashing
         Shining very plainly off the pages
         Of a large book
         One to amplify the shame of being
         Destroyer,violator,adult child,thief
         To realize the role must be played out
         The choice not ours
         And out of the brutality of wrongs
         Can grow wonderful,good answers
         To redeem for the nature of being
         Part of a circle broken.
