   First I've heard of this; a new law in Japan called the Electrical Appliance and Material Safety Law which may outlaw the resale of vintage gear (believe it or not, anything before 2000!) this post has links to other sites who have more info on this strange turn of events...

The French government has been discussing the digital music DRM issue and may attempt to force Apple and Microsoft to play fair instead of Fairplay... Cory takes it a step further.

France will let MSFT play iTunes - but what about open source players?.
