More people watched the manufactured "reality" of American Idol than The Grammy telecast... in a big way.

Kelly Clarkson won 2 Grammys.

Green Day and U2 won with albums that may have come out during the 19th century.

93% of you reading this don't care.

I'm glad I don't work directly for a big record company.

I just recently was pointed to Rebecca Blood's Blog and two stories really caught my attention:

A study on the effect of social feedback on song popularity and another on Artistshare, where the fans grassroots- style can shape the business end of an act's world by monetizing the project. I used to work with  Billy Childs, who won a 2 Grammys recently and participates in this Artistshare project. Good deal!

Rebecca has a good grasp on things... check her out.
