Here's a bit of news that doesn't make the body snatchers story any easier but word that one of the guys who was cut up and sold (in a cancerous state) was Allistair Cooke from the BBC and PBS, a longtime New York resident. The truely screwed up thing is if someone received a marrow transplant from his bones, they would be in worse shape than when they started. They were replacing the corpses' bones with PVC pipes! Wow...

The Weezer tour ended last night in Tokyo, Japan on the stage at Studio Coast. With the exception of a mention of it being the last show, a first time cover tune and the gear returning to a sea container rather than a truck, you really couldn't tell the difference. RC popped the question to K the night before, ring and all and she said yes. Congratulations boss, I hope you both live a warm, wonderful, long and happy life together!
So, I'll probably do a statistical overview once I have some data but all in all it was a good tour. These guys are so much better than most. I'm glad I had a chance to work with them again and if there is another go round, I hope they call me.
So, I'm sitting in Narita airport, waiting for my flight to be called, swooped in on some free business class wireless (guys, if you don't have a stumbler program to help you find free hot spots, you should grab one soon), checking my mail, sending my sleeping wife a flight update, downloading a few podcasts and typing at Forman in Taiwan as we're in the same time zone. I feel glad that I've completed another mission and that they didn't find out that I'm an alien who doesn't know what I'm doing.
So, home to Texas for Christmas and the search for a new tour will begin in the new year! I hope to put a podcast together for the end of 2005 along with some source recordings done in Japan... see you all on the other side of the pond! (I'll arrive before I leave, as you do in these cases...)
