I am gonna get to the point now as I had a very long post written and a stray click threw it into the aether... nuts. So, putting aside the flowery language I'll say what I need to say...

We played San Diego... I had a bad day due to lack of sleep, a full schedule and a seriously rogue mind. I forgot to contact Travis like I promised to. I'm sorry Travis, I'm a spaz and have accessed 5 frequent bonehead points.

Phoenix was next... didn't see Alice Cooper or Mark Forman's mom but did see Bitterman cofounder dude MK. Thank God he knows about band gear or I wouldn't have a clue. As always it was a great hang. It's very strange in the years when we don't tour together as we have been for nearly 15 years. His wife is a big Foos fan and rocked out accordingly.

Denver... Mile High... lightweight. Was just in MC, which is about 7300 ft. above sea level. Denver is now the enemy with the NHL back in session... must spend all day in enemy territory tomorrow. I guess I'm not a fan of the "'diques"...

16 years ago the world changed for me... thank God.

Ok, that was the basic gist of it...

I know, I know, I know... bad roadie, post more often. We've all been totally wiped out by our trans-hemispherical flying-concert-tv-submarine-ride week and are all trying to fend off various chest-based cruds. Flying in airplanes with air filters older than Paris Hilton, venues with world class dust collections and then the return to the tour bus and its break-in period of "bus lung"... not really whining, but looking at the facts that lead to the inevitable health issues.
Kimmel went well despite the traditional "too-many-cooks" LA experience... they played, they flew in the air, they wandered out into the crowd. The outdoor stage is behind the El Capitan Theatre in Hollywood; we experienced rain, sun but no surf. The Kimmel people were excited as they had learned that they were renewed for another year by the network... nice to know you still have a job.
One thing I didn't know was that the quiet man sitting beside the tower in front of the stage smoking a cigar was the director of the show. I thought I recognized him; I had met him 15 years ago in a recording studio where he was working on a comedy album. We had a very nice conversation then... and a nice one on Monday. For a guy who had/had not been banned from a talk show in the past to be directing one now is quite Hollywood in it's own way. It was quite nice to see Bobcat Goldthwait after so many years.
