New Orleans radio station WWOZ is keeping a list of the musicians who have checked in and are safe; not just the big names, but some of the many sidemen and lesser known acts as well... many of my questions were answered and I thank them for that... from the list, here's some of the folks who are still alive:

Alex Chilton

Allen Toussaint

Johnny Vidacovich

David Torkanowsky (yo Tork...)

Marcia Ball

Terrence Blanchard

Tab Benoit

Gatemouth Brown

Henry Butler

They guys from the Dirty Dozen Brass Band

Dr. John

Herman Ernest (teller of the second funniest joke in history)

John Mooney

Anders Osborne

The Radiators

The Subdudes

Irma Thomas and her band...

This is such good news...any other updates you can pass on to me will be greatly appreciated...

I am openly recommending the movie "The Aristocrats". It was created by Penn Gillette and Paul Provenza. It is about the filthiest joke in the world. They spoke with nearly 100 comedians and filmed about 240 hours of footage and edited it down to 89 minutes. It is vulgar, rude, gross, demented and extremely funny. It is the first movie I've ever gone to where the girl at the ticket counter said "Do you know that this movie is extremely vulgar and may be considered offensive?" ( I responded "I sure hope so...") she then continued that in understanding that, there would be no refunds for the ticket price. Then again, I was in Texas when I saw it.
There is no physical violence or sex in the movie though it is mentioned verbally. So is a lot of other things that would make your granny blush and your preacher mad. Those who are easily offended should probably go see something else like a Lindsay Lohan movie, where you can be offended and have no fun at the same time.
If you have an interest in comics and comedy, this is a document of some of the greatest minds in the business discussing what has been an inside joke/ exercise/ challenge since the days of burlesque.
It is in limited release in art houses. It is a full-on Bitterman pick. Remember, it's only a dirty joke!
