from Scott Rosenberg:
Earlier today I received an invitation from a
podcasting friend to the new Google/Gmail voice chat world. I pressed
the link and not only found out that the servers were no longer online
(well, launch days are rarely perfect) but that as a Mac OSX user, I
was unable to use the application... Windows only.
Scott Rosenburg looks at this in detail and points
to Jason Kottke's thoughts as well. These companies have such cool
web-based apps going (gmail, flickr, etc.) and Skype has a OSX version,
so why be short sighted and close out a group of people (though a small
group, they can be somewhat influential)?
Google's Windows-only world.
