Well, there is something to say for being at a gig where there is a
Quizno's three feet from the stage left monitor position. 99X has a
summer concert series that takes place every Saturday night during the
summer months. It's right in the middle of the Atlanta Underground
mall/bar zone/stumble pit-vomit trough area on a street corner. Imagine
a blocked street where front of house is on the other side of the
intersection and to the stage right side...kinda Side Of House behind a
concrete wall and some shrubbery. No catering but a buy-out for band
and crew in a place where they will deep fry salad if you let them.
Yesterday's rain was in the 3-4pm time slot, but it's
looking like it's gonna be a little closer to show time to make things
interesting. As it always is in Atlanta, the touring crew had "fun"
last night and the local crew failed their GED... actually, that's
kinda unfair but the flow was good, was it not?
I'll try to get some epic snaps of this ultra-cool set up...smile everybody!!!
