The Brits think that pot might help folks with Alzheimers...it might take longer to finish your sentence but at least you'd remember what you were talking about, right? I'm not so sure it's like Adkins, where you eat bacon to get healthy...

There are places that become magic for the events that occur there. They develop a reputation and others go to catch that lightning in a bottle. In music there are clubs and recording studios that are home to some serious mojo, the birth of performances that still stand up. Billboard and others report of the closing of the Muscle Shoals Recording Studio.
Someone else posted about this with a fantastic album cover photo of Cher in front of the studio...I will try to track it down...

I was afraid that the musicwire was nothing but bummer news, but here's a bright ray; Blink-182 has decided to enjoy  their new found wealth and not play anymore! Thanks Billboard!

The tours come and the tours go...one of the scariest things is signing on with a group for a period of time and having one of the principles get really sick. Billboard reports that QOTSA have had to stop their Euro tour because frontman Josh Homme got sick...

...news from Baco

When I first met him his head looked like a soccer ball. He got so low to the ground he consistantly smashed the quarter inch connector into the body of his guitar. He knew every lead from every 80's rock tune but never played one onstage. When everyone bought a new car, he stuck with his as it ran well and he liked it. Earlier this week he said he was done and Billboard reports that Brian Welch has left the band korn.
